India strongly criticized the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for commenting on internal affairs related to the Hijab row in Karnataka. The OIC Secretariat’s tweets mentioned the ongoing court case and called on the United Nations to investigate alleged human rights violations against Muslims in India.

In a firm response, the Ministry of External Affairs stated that the OIC Secretariat’s communal mindset prevents a proper understanding of the situation. India accused the OIC of being influenced by malicious propaganda against India, which has damaged the organization’s reputation.
