The two countries have signed an agreement to promote content exchange and co-productions between Prasar Bharati and the National Media Authority of Egypt following delegation-level talks.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister of India and the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Minister. This agreement is part of Prasar Bharati’s efforts to expand the reach of DD India Channel by showcasing the country’s progress in areas such as economy, technology, social development, and cultural heritage through various programs.

Both broadcasters will exchange programs in genres like sports, news, culture, and entertainment on a bilateral basis, which will be broadcasted on their radio and television platforms. The MoU will be valid for three years and will also facilitate co-productions and training for officials in the latest technologies.

Prasar Bharati, India’s public service broadcaster, currently has 39 MoUs with foreign broadcasters for collaboration in broadcasting. These agreements not only involve program exchanges but also provide opportunities for co-productions on mutually interesting themes and knowledge sharing through training.
