An Air India flight traveling from New York to Delhi was redirected to London on Monday due to a medical emergency, as reported by an official. According to information from the flight tracking website Flightradar24, the flight is being conducted using a Boeing 777-337 (ER) aircraft.

The official stated that the flight was diverted to London because of a medical emergency on board. Once the affected passenger has been disembarked, the flight will resume its journey to Delhi, the official added. Specifics about the medical emergency were not immediately available.

A pilot of a wide-body aircraft indicated that the flight is expected to be delayed by at least 6-7 hours before reaching Delhi.
