India has reported 9,629 new cases of coronavirus, with the number of active cases dropping to 61,013 from 63,380, according to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry. The death toll has risen to 5,31,398, with 29 new deaths, including 10 reported in Kerala as of 8 am. The daily positivity rate stands at 5.38%, and the weekly positivity rate is 5.61%. The total number of Covid cases is now 4.49 crore. Active cases make up 0.14% of total infections, and the national recovery rate is 98.68%, the ministry confirmed. The number of recovered cases has reached 4,43,23,045, and the case fatality rate is 1.18%. According to the ministry’s website, the country has administered 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the nationwide vaccination drive.
